The Science Behind the Approach
This way of working is grounded in neuroscience. When we experience ongoing stress, our brain can become locked in a survival state, dominated by anxiety, fear, or self-doubt. In this state, the stress hormone cortisol remains high, which affects everything from mood and sleep to digestion and decision-making.
Hypnosis helps shift the brain into what’s known as the 'rest and digest' state — where we feel calm, open, and capable of creative problem solving. From here, you're more able to make the positive changes you're aiming for.
And when we engage in positive actions, positive interactions, and positive thinking — what I call the Three Ps — we stimulate helpful brain chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin. These naturally support better mental health, reduce stress, and improve confidence and wellbeing.
